Energy Work
can be applied to any area of our lives to invite in greater peace, grace and ease.
We are not meant to “do” our lives alone or figure out everything ourselves. Spirit, Source, Tao, Goddess, God, Universe, Higher Power — there is something much vaster than us that we can rely upon to assist us in anything we do. When I practice energy work, it’s a way to get out of our heads, get out of our own way, and allow Spirit to work more effectively in our lives. At any given moment, Spirit is ready to give us the energetic support we need to navigate whatever we are in — even and especially the difficult stuff.
When we bring energy work into a session together, we’ll first get an idea of where you might be needing support and hold an intention to direct pure, positive, supportive energy toward that area of life. Then we will open and receive what energy Source has for you, and I will intuitively help channel the energy where it wants to go. This Source energy can bring rejuvenation, healing, release, and lightness to wherever it is most needed on the energetic, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes or to any area or event that needs it.
We can incorporate energy work in any session that I offer. I also have two types of session that specifically involve energy work:
Energy Work Session — a 30-min session to bring energetic healing or support to wherever it is needed in yourself or your life. We can hold an intention for where we specifically want this healing or support to go, and/or we can focus on your energy body to help your chakras, or energy centers, operate at their full potential.
Energy/Astrology Mini-Session — these 45-min sessions include a look at your astrological chart to provide greater self-understanding and energetic support for an astrological transit or natal placement. Every month has a special on one current planetary transit or significant astrological event (i.e. eclipses, planetary conjunctions, sign changes) that we can bring up in your chart, connect to your current experience, and support with energy work.
I began practicing energy work with Reiki attunements I received in 2016. Reiki is an energy healing system that was taught by a Japanese spiritual healer named Mikao Usui in the 1920s. Reiki translates to “universal life energy”, and unlike energy healing practices that work with qi (natural life force energy) or a healer’s own energy, Reiki channels healing energy directly from Source. This is beneficial in that it allows Spirit to guide the process, and it is pure energy that nourishes both the practitioner and the recipient.
I don’t call myself a Reiki practitioner in that I don’t practice the specific techniques in the Reiki system. Similar to Reiki healing, I work with Source energy, receiving it through the crown directing it through the hands. At that point, I allow intuition, intention and the energy itself to guide the session. I believe that while Reiki attunements can help, we all have an innate ability to receive pure Source energy through the crown chakra (or grounding Earth energy through the root chakra).
